Agriculture & Agribusiness
Strengthening Ghana’s commercial agriculture value chain through production, mechanisation, processing, partnerships and knowledge transfer.
Agriculture & Agribusiness
Agriculture is a strategic driver of food security, economic growth and stronger commercial value chains.
African Agribusiness Consortium brings together large-scale farming, support for smallholder farmers, mechanisation, irrigation, processing and distribution.
Its approach uses innovation, technology and partnerships to develop productive capacity while advancing environmental stewardship and sustainable agriculture.

Commercial production
African Agribusiness Consortium is a Ghanaian company focused on strengthening the full commercial agriculture value chain through innovation, technology and strategic partnerships.
Local rice production supports AAC’s wider food-security strategy and commercial agriculture programme.
Commercial maize production forms part of a crop portfolio designed around Ghana’s agricultural value chain.
Soybean production extends AAC’s work across locally relevant crops and connected agribusiness activity.
Integrated value chain
AAC connects production with the equipment, inputs, infrastructure and knowledge needed to strengthen commercial agriculture.

Agricultural mechanisation
Mechanised farming operations, modern equipment and agricultural technologies help AAC increase operational efficiency across commercial production.
AAC Rice Project · 2024
AAC cultivated and harvested its first locally grown rice batch in 2024. The rice was distributed across Ghana during the festive season as part of the company’s broader food-security strategy.
Local production is one part of a connected system spanning cultivation, processing, storage and distribution.

Processing & infrastructure
Milling connects agricultural production to the preparation of crops for wider distribution and use.
Silos and storage infrastructure support preservation across the agricultural value chain.
Irrigation services support productive farming and more responsible management of water resources.
Alternate Wetting and Drying
AAC presents its AWD programme as capable of improving water use, yields and emissions performance while supporting soil aeration and fertiliser efficiency.
Up to
30%
lower water use
Up to
20%
higher crop yields
Nearly
50%
lower methane emissions
These figures describe the stated potential of AAC’s AWD initiative; they are not Group-wide guarantees or averages for all rice production.
Partnerships & capacity
AAC works through strategic partnerships, training and knowledge transfer, including support for agricultural education through its RUDN University partnership.
Long-term impact
AAC’s direction connects commercial production and support for smallholder farmers through out-grower schemes with mechanisation, irrigation, processing and distribution.
Environmental stewardship, sustainable agriculture and capacity building support a longer-term ambition: stronger agri-food systems and economic growth in the communities AAC serves.
