Ayensu Starch Company Ltd. is a wholly owned Ghanaian company incorporated as a limited liability company under the Companies Act of Ghana, with its business headquarters located at Bawjiase in the Central Region.
The company produces native cassava starch (super High Grade) and supplies to various industries for finished product.
Commissioned in 2004, the company operates at full capacity of around 22,000 metric tonnes of cassava starch per annum.
The Project The project is being implemented as part of a major Agribusiness initiative under a Public – Private sector Partnership with the Government of Ghana owning 30% of the project which is designed to address the problem of poverty in rural communities.
The project involves the production of highgrade cassava starch (in native form) as an industrial and food product. This involves 3 major activities: • Cassava cultivation (i.e. production of fresh cassava);
• Processing of Cassava into Industrial Starch; and
• Export of Cassava Starch as an industrial and food product.
Universal Plastic Product and Recycling Ghana Limited (UPPR), a limited liability company, was incorporated in 2013 and commenced business operations a day after, of which production began in late 2013. The Company is registered to engage in the manufacturing of plastic related products and head office sits on a 5.06 acre of land located near Nungua Farms; off Tema-Accra Motorway. Currently, UPPR focuses on the plastic recycling and production of waste bins, polyethylene bags, commonly known as plastic bags. It has two production factories in Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions.
UPPR strives to manufacture superior plastic products at reasonable prices using recyclable materials. UPPR strives to be the largest plastic product manufacturers in Ghana, as well as one of the largest manufacturers in West Africa.
Currently, UPPR produces the following polyethylene products: Waste Bins (240lts, 120lts); Small black bags; Regular black thrash bags (240lts & 120lts); Small translucent bags; Medium translucent bags and Assembling and distribution of motorized tricycle.
Yeeco Plastics Ghana Limited (Yeeco), a limited liability company, it was incorporated in March 2007 and commenced business operations a day after, of which production began in early 2009. The Company is registered to engage in the manufacturing of plastic related products and sits on a 5.06 acre of land located at Kpone Industrial Area, Tema. Currently, Yeeco focuses on the production of polyethylene bags, commonly known as plastic bags. Yeeco Plastics seeks to be the market leader in the plastics industry within Ghana and neighbouring West African Countries by the year 2020. Yeeco strives to produce the best, most user friendly; quality but affordable and dependable bio-degradable plastic film bags of all kinds for all purposes nationwide and neighbouring West African Countries.
