Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of the Jospong Group of Companies, is pleased to announce the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the City of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), aimed at strengthening and supporting the city’s waste management infrastructure through technical expertise and sustainable systems development.
Signed on May 26, 2025, this partnership reflects Zoomlion’s unwavering commitment to building cleaner, healthier African cities by offering innovative, locally integrated solutions that empower communities and governments alike.

The MoU outlines collaboration on a 360-degree sustainable waste management framework, focusing on the recovery, processing, and conversion of waste into valuable resources, while enhancing existing infrastructure. Zoomlion will support and complement the work of existing local service providers, ensuring their roles are strengthened—not replaced.
The project is expected to create approximately 5,000 new jobs across the broader waste management value chain in Kinshasa and will introduce technical know-how, job training, and infrastructure investment to elevate the city’s transition toward a circular economy.
Hon. Léon Mulumba Mwana Nshiya, Provincial Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development, who signed on behalf of the City of Kinshasa, noted:
“This agreement is a symbol of our strong will and unwavering commitment to build a cleaner, greener Kinshasa.”
Mr. Daniel Amuyaw Addo, who led the Jospong Group delegation, added:
“This partnership reaffirms our dedication to inclusive development and sustainable innovation. We are here to work alongside Kinshasa’s existing ecosystem, not to disrupt it. Our role is to strengthen, support, and deliver long-term value.”
As a token of goodwill, a symbolic gift was presented to H.E. Daniel Bumba Lubaki, Governor of Kinshasa, who stated:
“I believe this project will not only improve Kinshasa’s environmental future, but will serve as a benchmark for Africa’s role in shaping sustainable global cities.”
This collaboration marks another key milestone in Zoomlion’s broader African agenda—empowering cities with infrastructure, creating green jobs, and reinforcing a united path toward a circular, sustainable future.
